Please list your ideas good and bad about our addiction to Oil. What we can do about it? Please list examples of things that we do on a daily basis to curb our appetite for Oil.

I stand here resolute that we must contain this fever for Oil thru all means necessary. I find that we fought and died for Iraqi freedom. Now it is time that help repay that debt to us in the near term. It is my belief that we can end our hunger for oil thru a combination of renewable resources like: Wind, solar, nuclear and biofuels. We our such a wasteful society and need to recycle what we waste and turn that into an energy source. I believe it is high time we make a big investment in renewable energy using our hard earned tax dollars We must break the chain that keeps us tied to Oil. I ask all of you to do your part to help ease the pain at the pump.

While I think it's a good thing to expand our resources for energy, I don't think we should eliminate oil as it too is a natural resource.

I agree with Veng but something has to be done about the prices. $60+ every 9 or 10 days to fill up my 15 gallon tank. Unbelievable. My parents van has a 32 gallon tank, so it could be worse I suppose.

Solution: Eliminate China then our gas prices will go down.

What MPG does everyone get? My 95' Toyota Camry gets 20(city)/22(highway) MPG which considering the car is 15 years old is not bad at all.

what's wrong with oil, I like olive oil myself! oh, you mean fossil fuels! but seriously, I think more should be done in developing vehicles to run on these biofuels etc. The problem is that these enviro vehicles just are not as fast as petrol run vehicles, and in our case they are not big enough either. i should add that this is mamashell, too lazy to sign herself in, would rather hijack zero's post.
